Victory Day of Bangladesh

Victory day is a national holiday in Bangladesh celebrated on December-16 to commemorate the victory of the Bangladesh forces over the Pakistani forces in the Bangladesh liberation war in 1971. This day and event is also commemorated across India as well as Bangladesh to honour Bangladeshi and Indian martyrs who laid down their lives in the war. In 1971 Bangladesh fought for the liberation war that ended of the nine month long against Pakistan to become an independent country, which resulted from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and established the sovereign nation on 16 December 1971 which is called Bangladesh. The Pakistan armed force's lieutenant General Amir Abdullah khan Niazi surrendered to the lieutenant general Jagjit Singh Aurora, Joint commander of Indian and Bangladesh forces after nine month long at the Ramna Racecourse in Dhaka on 16 December 1971. Then most of the nations recognized Bangladesh within months of its independence. The celebration of victory day has been taking place since 1972. Victory day in Bangladesh is a joyous celebration in which popular culture plays a great role. TV and radio stations broadcast special programs and patriotic songs. The main streets are decorated with national flags Different political parties and socioeconomic organizations undertake programs to mark the day in befitting manner, including the paying of respects at jatiyo smriti soudho, the national memorial Savar in Dhaka. The days highlight is the national holiday parade on Dhaka National parad Ground, hosted by the Bangladesh Armed Forces and involves personal from the Bangladesh police Border Guard Bangladesh and Bangladesh Ansar. It is the country main military parade event of the year and one of the biggest annual military parades in south Asia on that day. Every year celebrate this day in glorious manners. This is our national holiday. It's a great achievement of our anation. We can say that the victory day is our pride. The day has given us a new recognition. So, we are proud of the day.
