Father of the Nation Bangabandhu sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of independent Bangladesh, was born on 17 March, 1920 in the village of Tungipara under Gopalganj subdivision in the district of Faridpur, He was a visionary and charismatic leader who organized an argument and uprising against the British India, guided Bengalis of East Pakistan in the resistance to the unjust actions of the postcolonial Pakistani Government, and finally created the independent Bangladesh as a nation state in 1971.
