Socio-economic impact of Covid-19 in Bangladesh

The coronavirus disease that caused by a new coronavirus called SARS-Cov-2 which is transmitted from one human body to another through cough, breath or saliva of covid-19 affected person.

Social Impact of COVID-19 in Bangladesh: The pandemic has affected educational systems of Bangladesh. According to data released by UNESCO on March, School and university clousures due to Covid-19 wore implementented nationwide in 165 countries. This affects over 1.5 billion students worldwide.
Low income individuals of Bangladesh are more likely to contract the coronavirus and to die from covid-19. Many low income workers in the service sectors have become unemployed.
The pandemic has also impacted religion in various ways, including the cancellation of the worship services of various faiths, the closurs of Sunday schools, as well as the cancellation pilgrimages surrounding observances and festivals. Many mosques, churches, synagogues, temples have postponed their worship amid the pandemic.
On March 2020, the World Health Organization issued a report related to mental health and psychosocial issues by addressing instructions and some social considerations during the covid-19 outbreak. The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the mental health of people around the Bangladesh. The first lockdown was adopted in China and then in some other involved other's countries like Bangladesh.
The policy included mandatory use of maskes, gloves and protective eyewear, implementing of social distancing, travel restrictions, closing of majority of work places, school and public places. Many countries have reported an increase in domestic violence and intimate partner violence attributed to lockdowns amid the covid-19 pandemic.
Economic impact of the covid-19 in Bangladesh: Being in the corona war, UNCTD acknowledge, covid-19 outbreak could cost worldwide economy up to USD 2 trillion. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) warns that the world economy could lose between $5.8 trillion to 8.8 trillion. equivalent to 6.4% to 9.7% of the world gross domestic products (GDP).
Our government has already announced bail-out packages for the recovery. Like, due to cancellation of nearly $3 billion worth of work-orders, Bangladesh RMG industry got the attention quickly. Around 2 million workers in the industries may be affected by this and on the other hand, around 4 million people are directly engaged with the RMG sectors.
The banking sector is the key player of the economic activities of any countries, they are already suffering due to the covid-19.
The coronaviruses epidemic is likely to cause a rise in world poverty. The World Bank reports that due to covid-19 population survive in extreme poverty will rise by 10 to 60 million. WFP states that the world could see the remarkable number of hungry people double in the aftermath of this global crisis.
Being a developing country, Bangladesh's 36 million people have cost the jobs in the first 66 days of covid-19 lockdown country wide. 1.5 billion students globally are out of education all of the schools, colleges and universities.
Covid-19 is actually a global threat to all the people on the planet. Like other countries Bangladesh is facing lots of trouble due to covid-19 outbreak. So, to face coronavirus everybody should be conscious about their health and lifestyle.
