প্রকৃত জ্ঞানের স্পৃহা না থাকলে শিক্ষা ব্যর্থতায় পর্যবসিত হয়। তখন পরীক্ষায় পাসটাই বড় হয় এবং পাঠ্যপুস্তকের পৃষ্ঠায় জ্ঞান সীমাবৃদ্ধ থাকে। এই কারণেই পরীক্ষায় পাস করা লোকের অভাব নেই আমাদের দেশে, কিন্তু অভাব আছে জ্ঞানীর। যেখানেই পরীক্ষা-পাসের মোহ তরুণ ছাত্রছাত্রীদের উৎকণ্ঠিত রাখে, সেখানেই জ্ঞান নির্বাসিত জীবনযাপন করে। একটি স্বাধীন জাতি হিসেবে জগতের বুকে অক্ষয় আসন লাভ করতে হলে জ্ঞানের প্রতি তরুণসমাজকে অনুপ্রাণিত করতে হবে। সহজ লাভ আপাতত সুখের হলেও পরিণামে কল্যাণ বহন করে না। পরীক্ষা পাসের মোহ থেকে মুক্ত না হলে তরুণ সমাজের সামনে কখনোই জ্ঞানের দিগন্ত উন্মোচিত হবে না।
