দৃশ্যত বাংলাদেশ বর্তমানে সব ধরণের দূষণের প্রাদুর্ভাবে জর্জরিত যেমন বায়ু দূষণ এবং পানি দূষণ । শহুরে এলাকার বাসিন্দারা এই ধরণের দূষণের দ্বারা সর্বাধিক ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হচ্ছে। গত কয়েক দশকে বাংলাদেশে নিরবচ্ছিন্ন শিল্পায়ন প্রক্রিয়া গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পরিবেশগত সমস্যার সৃষ্টি করেছে। এখন আমরা পরিবেশগত দূষণের সাধারণ কিছু ধরণ সম্পর্কে জানবো। বায়ু দূষণ বিভিন্ন উৎস থেকে আসে। বাংলাদেশের শিল্প কারখানা, ইটের ভাটা, পুরোনো ও দূর্বল সেবা প্রদানকারী যানবাহন এবং সড়ক ও নির্মাণস্থল হতে নির্গত বিষাক্ত নিষ্কাশন ও ধুলো বায়ু দূষণের প্রধান উৎস। আমরা মোটর গাড়ি কম ব্যবহার করে এবং ২০ বছরের চেয়ে পুরোনো যানবাহনের ব্যবহার এড়ানো দ্বারাই এই ধরনের দূষণ কমাতে পারি।

আমি জোড়াদাহ গ্রামের বাসিন্দা হিসেবে আপনাকে বিনীতভাবে জানাই যে, গ্রন্থাগার সমাজ উন্নয়নের বাহন। শিক্ষা ও জ্ঞানের পরিপূর্ণ বিকাশ ও একটি জাতির মেধা, মনন, ইতিহাস ঐতিহ্য ও সংস্কৃতির ধারক হিসেবে গ্রন্থাগার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে । আমাদের পথ যেহেতু প্রগতির পথ এবং এই পথকে অনুসরণ করতেই আমাদের অতীত ও বর্তমান বিষয়ক জ্ঞান অর্জন করা আবশ্যক। জ্ঞান অর্জনের জন্যে বই পড়া বা লাইব্রেরিতে যাওয়ার বিকল্প নেই। কিন্তু দুঃখের বিষয় হলেও সত্য যে আমাদের গ্রামে অনেকগুলো স্কুল কলেজ মাদ্রাসা থাকলেও কোথাও কোন পাবলিক লাইব্রেরি নেই। পাবলিক লাইব্রেরি না থাকায় পাঠ্যবইয়ের বাইরে কোন বই পড়া থেকে নতুন প্রজন্ম বঞ্চিত হচ্ছে।

অতএব, বিনীত নিবেদন এই যে এই এলাকায় একটি পাবলিক লাইব্রেরি স্থাপন করে আমাদের জ্ঞান অর্জনের পথ প্রসারিত করে বাধিত থাকবেন।

Population problem is a big problem in our country. Our population is growing. People's health is not so good. Many of them are suffering from malnutrition. They do not get the food they need. We can not produce enough food. It is possible to meet food demand by producing more food. That's why we have to work a lot. To solve our food problems, we need to cultivate in scientific method.

The most appropriate headline for the article may be "The most tree planting policy of Marina Hills High School".

The Ecology club of Marina Hills High School distributes free trees to many educational institutions to fight against pollution. Marina Hills High School is one of them who availed this offer

Principal Webb talked about the hot weather. Students perspire during the class time as the sun releases heat. So, Mr. Webb decided to plant those young trees inside the school buildings rather than the school ground.

As the school authority can no longer wait in getting relief from the sun heat, the wanted to
plant eucalyptus and willow trees as those trees do not take much time to grow up.

Principal Webb intended to make the school ground a lovely living place for some birds. That's why he also decided to plant some trees in the school ground so that birds can make their nests.

Subject: Prayer for reduction of taxes on imported industrial raw materials.

Honorable Sir,
With the humble respect I want to draw your attention to the amount of taxes and tariffs levied on imported industrial raw materials. Industrial raw materials are mostly used in Ready Made Garments Sector which contributes about 82% in our export earnings. The garments owners pay huge amount of money on tariffs and taxes on account of the increased price of the apparels. Reducing tariff and taxes on these items would encourage the export keeping the garments industries competitive in the world market. 

Therefore I, pray and expect that necessary steps will be taken to reduce taxes on imported industrial raw materials.

The present world is the world of modern technology. Far-reaching effects of modern technology make the world as global village called globalization. Hence, modern technology and globalization are interconnected with one another. Modern technologies made the world faster and smarter by dint of its utilization. So technologies brought about a positive change in our day to day lives though some raise questions over the abuses of modern gadgets and technologies. With the help of modern technologies, people living in the distant area come closer than they were in ever before in the history of civilization.

Technological advancements in different aspects including modern communication, transportation have greatly facilitated the establishment of a global citizenship because of an increase in global engagements. Technological improvements did not take place hastily, rather we had to wait long time for it. This development made us global citizenship. People living in the remote area the world are not deprived of any blessings provided by the modern technology. Within the shortest possible time, they get access of any services any news. But modern technologies have come to us with its merits and demerits. This also cause the sufferings of the many people. Modern technologies have brought some lethal weapons that one can not imagine how a weapon can kill hundreds of thousands of people. We will now discuss some of the advantages that technology brings forth and how it affects the global citizens:

• The invention of the computer was very important point. Communication is thus enhanced and companies can communicate more easily with foreign countries.
• Technology with the help of globalization has increased the productivity of almost every industry in the world.
•  In the modern industrial world, machine can carry out most of the agricultural and industrial work and as a result, workers produce much more goods than a century ago and work less.
• Sales and purchases are now facilitated and possible world wide within a moment which took a long time few years ago.
• At the medical level, technology can treat more sick people and combat very harmful 

viruses and bacteria. Some disadvantages of technology are given below:

• The evolution of modern technology has disadvantages, for example, dependence on new technology. Man no longer needs to think. Even if the calculator is a good invention, man no longer makes mental calculation and no longer works his memory. The decline of human capital implies an increase in unemployment. In some areas, devices can replace the human mind.
• The use of technology certainly needs rule and new laws. For example internet use is an individual freedom. However, the invention of the atomic bomb cannot be an individual freedom. In fact, regulations are difficult to implement when these technologies are introduced - such as regulation surrounding the impending arrival of autonomous vehicles.
• Finally, as most technological discoveries aim to reduce human effort, it would imply that more work is done by machines. This equates to less work for people: the human is becoming ever so obsolete by the day, as processes become automated and jobs are made redundant.

In fine we can say that the technology is the cause and the globalization is effect. As technologies help getting us together breaking all international barriers. We should derive the full merits from technology. At the same time, we have to careful about the abuses of it.

$$\begin{gathered} \frac{x\times 4}{1560\times 8}=\frac{3}{13} \\ x=\frac{3\times 1560\times 8}{13\times 4}=720 \\ again, \frac{y\times 6}{x\times 4}=\frac{8}{3} \\ \Rightarrow \frac{y\times 6}{720\times 4}=\frac{8}{3} \\ y= \frac{8\times 720\times 4}{6\times 3}=1280 \end{gathered}$$

A and B invested respectively 720 Tk. and 1,280 Tk. respectively.

A can produce in 12 minutes x pound of peanut butter
A can produce in 1 minute $\frac{ x}{ 12}$ pound of peanut butter
Again, B can produce in 18 minutes x pound of peanut butter

B can produce in 1 minute $\frac{ x}{ 18}$ pound of peanut butter

So, in 1 minute (A + B) can produce = $\left(\frac{x}{12}+\frac{x}{18}\right)=\left(\frac{3x+2x}{36}\right)=\frac{5x}{36}$ pounds.

Now, $\frac{5x}{36}$ pounds can be produced by (A + B) in = 1 minute 
x pounds can be produced by (A + B) in = $\frac{36\times x}{5x}=7.2$ minutes = 7 minutes 12 seconds. (ans.)

Relative speed white running in opposite direction 12 

$= (75+60) kmph : =\left(135\times \frac{5}{18}\right) m{s}^{-1}=\frac{75}{2} m{s}^{-1}$

Again, relative speed while running in same direction

Lengths of the both trains =$\left(\frac{75}{2}\times 8\right)=300$ meter

Now, as the faster train exceeds the slower train in the same direction in $33\frac{1}{2}$ seconds.

The length of the slower train = $\left(\frac{25}{6}\times 33.5\right)=131.25$ meter.

The length of the faster train =$300-131.25 = 168.75$ meter

(ans.) Faster train 168.75 meter & slower train 131.25 meter.

Width of the first garden = $\frac{ 600}{ 40}=15$ feet 
Width of the second garden = $15\times 2=30$  feet

Area of the second garden will be = $\frac{600}{2}=300$ square feet

Length of the second garden =  $\frac{300 }{30}=10$ feet

So, we have got, the length of the first garden is 40 feet and the length of the second garden is 10 feet.
And the width of the first garden is 15 feet and the width of the second garden is 30 feet
Perimeter of the first garden = $2 (40+15 )=2\times 55=110$ meter 

And Perimeter of the second garden = $2(10 + 30)=2\times 40=80$ meter 

Ratio of the perimeter of the two garden = $110 : 80 = 11 : 8$ 

Given, total students = 16 

As, the number of boys is the multiple of 5

So, the possible number of boys may be 5, 10, 15 

And the number of girls is the multiple of 3

So, the possible number of girls may be 3, 6, 9, 12, 15 

According to the question,

The number of boys may be = 10 and the number of girls may be = 6 

The number of boys taller than the shortest girl = $10\times \frac{1}{5} = 2$

And the number of girls shorter than the tallest boy =$6\times \frac{1}{3} = 2$

Here, there is 1 shortest boy and 1 tallest girl. The number of students taller than the shortest girl and the shorter than the tallest boy =16-(2+2+1+1) = 10

Required percentage = $\left(\frac{10}{16}\times 100\right)\%=62.5$
