Let, Weight of apples 6x; Weight of peaches 5x; Weight of grapes 2x 

Total amount mixtures $6x+5x+2x=13x$

Amount of apples = $\frac{6x\times 39}{13x}= 18$ pounds

Amount of grapes = $\frac{2x\times 39}{13x}$ = 6 pounds

Apples more than grapes in the mixture = 18-6= 12 pounds

প্রশ্নে বলা হচ্ছে যে, Mr. Sakil প্রতিদিন একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ে অফিসের উদ্দেশ্যে বাসা থেকে বের হন। তিনি যদি ঘণ্টায় 5 কিলোমিটার বেগে হাঁটেন, তবে তাঁর 7 মিনিট দেরি হয়। অন্যদিকে ঘণ্টায় 6 কিলোমিটার বেগে হাঁটলে তিনি 5 মিনিট আগেই অফিসে পৌঁছেন। আপনাকে অফিস থেকে বাসার দূরত্ব বের করতে হবে। 

Let. distance of office from the house be x km.

According to question,

$\frac{x}{5}-\frac{7}{60}=\frac{x}{6}+\frac{5}{60}$ [Minutes is converted by hour]

$$\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow \frac{x}{5}-\frac{x}{6}=\frac{5}{60}+\frac{7}{60} \\ \Rightarrow \frac{6x-5x}{30}=\frac{5+7}{60} \\ \Rightarrow \frac{x}{30}=\frac{1}{5} \\ \Rightarrow x=\frac{30}{5} \\ \therefore x=6 km \end{gathered}$$

প্রশ্নে বলা হচ্ছে যে, এক ব্যক্তি Interest এবং Wages থেকে 5,000 টাকা আয় করেছেন। যদি তিনি তার বিনিয়োগ দ্বিগুণ করেন এবং Wages যদি 50% বৃদ্ধি পায়, তবে তাঁর আয় দাঁড়ায় 8,000 টাকা। প্রশ্ন হল আলাদাভাবে Interest এবং Wages থেকে তার প্রকৃত আর কত ছিলো?

According to question

$$\begin{gathered} 2x+1.5(5,000-x)= 8,000 \\ \Rightarrow 2x+7,500-1.5x = 8,000 \\ \Rightarrow 0.5x = 8,000-7,500 \\ \Rightarrow 0.5x = 500 \\ \Rightarrow x= \frac{500}{0.5} \\ \therefore x=1,000 tk \end{gathered}$$

Interest 1,000 Tk.

Wages = 5,000-1,000= 4,000 Tk.

ans. The incomes from Interest and wages be Tk. 1,000 and Tk. 4,000 respectively.

প্রশ্নে বলা হচ্ছে যে, 20 জন লোক একটি কাজ 30 দিনে শেষ করতে পারে। প্রশ্ন হল কত দিন পরে 5 জন লোক চলে গেলে কাজটি 35 দিনে শেষ হবে?

Total work=20 x 30 = 600 days

That means if single worker worked on it, it would take him 600 days to finish the work. Let x be the number of days after which 5 workers leave.

Now if 20 workers work for x days

And then 5 leave, so now 15 workers work for the rest (35-x) days to finish the work.

So equation should be

Total work done by 20 workers in 30 days = total work done by 20 workers for x days and 15 workers for (35-x) days.

This means, $$\begin{gathered} 20\times 30=\left(20\times x\right)+15\times \left(35-x\right) \\ so, \left(x-20\right)+15\times \left(35-x\right)=600 \\ \Rightarrow 20x+525-15x=600 \\ \Rightarrow 5x=75 \\ \therefore x=15 days \end{gathered}$$

ans. 5 workers must leave after 15 days for the project to complete it 35 days.
