Similarly, third tank takes 1 hour to fill $\frac{1}{6}$ part of the tank.

And second tank takes 1 hour to empty $\frac{1}{12}$ part of the tank.

So, three pipes can fill the tank separately in 3 hours $= (\frac{1}{18} + \frac{1}{6} - \frac{1}{12}) = \frac{2 + 6 - 3}{36} = \frac{5}{36}$ part of the tank

$\frac{5}{36}$ Part of the tank is filled in = 3 hours

∴ $\frac{5}{6}$ Part of the tank is filled in $= \frac{3 \times 36 \times 5}{5 \times 6}$ = 18 hours
