The store sells the shirts at a price 80% above cost for one month, after which it reduces the price of the shirts to 20% above cost. The store sells 75% of the shirts during the first month and 50% of the remaining shirts afterward. How much gross income did sales of the shirts generate?

∴ The cost price of 1 shirt is
Sales in 1st month = (75% of 1,000) = 750 Shirts
∴ Selling price of 750 shirt in 1st month
∴ Remaining shirt = 1,000-750 = 250
∴ 50% of remaining shirt after 1st month's sale
Then selling price is
∴ Total sales = 12,150+ 1,350 = 13,500 Tk.
∴ Gross Income = 13,500 Tk.
