"A journey by Train"
In modern days man remains preoccupied with his daily activities and worldly affairs. He has no time to enjoy the beauty of nature and refresh himself. But the journey by train may serve him well if he wants to escape the monotonous urban life and pass the time in the midst of natural beauty. My annual examination got over. I had recess for some days. During this time of the year the weather is good enough to make a journey. Incidentally I, with some of my friends, took a sudden decision to go my sister's house in Chittagong by train. Accordingly, on the appointed day we reached Kamlapur railway station by taxi before sunrise. We bought our tickets and got into the train. The guard blew the whistle, waved his green flag and the train began to move.
The train began running at a full speed. I am fond of scenic beauty from the very beginning of my life. 1, keeping myself aloof, sat beside a window and looked outside through it. The sun was rising with all its splendid beauty. Dew drops on the soft grass of meadows were glittering like pearls.1 enjoyed these scenes and sights with a joyful mind. By this time the train was moving through rural areas. I gazed and gazed at the house, trees, meadows with golden crops and other panoramic view with a cheerful mind. Things came to my vision and disappeared in the twinkle of an eye.
My mind was full of joy. I looked and looked through the window. Everything seemed running swiftly to opposite direction. The train ran at full speed. Now and then it crossed a bridge over a river with a chattering noise. As it was an express train, it touched only at a few big stations. At about noon when the train entered the Chittagong district I felt great joy seeing the hills on either side of the line as I had not seen a hill before. After eight hours journey at last our train reached Chittagong railway station at about I p.m. We got down from the train and went to my sister's house by taxi. Our return journey was equally pleasant one.
The pleasant and enjoyable journey lasted for a few hours. Despite that the journey left a permanent impression in my mind. I never forget the sweet memory of this journey. The scene of the memorable journey peeps into my mind in the moment of solitude when I become tired of the mechanical urban life.

The Deputy Commissioner,
Manikgonj.
Subject: Application for relief for the flood affected people.
Dear Sir,
We, the inhabitants of Shibalaya Upazila, would like to attract your attention to the flood that has recently visited in our locality. The flood has broken all the records of the past. The sufferings and the miseries of the flood affected people know no bounds. Many people have become homeless. Thousands of people have taken shelter on roads, boats and embankments. They are now living under the open sky without any civil amenities. Nevertheless, cholera, typhoid, diarrhaea, dysentery etc have broken out in an epidemic form. So they are badly in need of foods, medicines, clothes, shelters and pure drinking water. These people are eagerly awaiting for your assistance.
In the above mentioned circumstances, we earnestly call on you for sending sufficient relief goods to the flood distressed people of this locality immediately to lessen their sufferings and oblige us thereby.
Sincerely yours
Md. Shafiqul Islam

Dear Opu,
As salamualaikum. Hope you are fine with the blessings of the Almighty Allah. Today, I want to share my views about the excess use of mobile phone with you. In today's fast-moving and globalize world it is almost impossible to imagine our day-to-day life without mobile phones. But there are certain harmful health effects which might be caused by immoderate use of cell phones. The most menacing problem is the connection between cell phone and cancer. It is reported that people who talk on the phone for several hours a day are 50% more likely to develop brain cancer. The reason for this is the radio waves produced by mobile phones. It is calculated, that every minute of use the human brain receives about 220 electromagnetic impulses, which are not necessarily harmful, but which definitely affect the brain in cases of prolonged impact. Besides cell phones can cause headaches, decreased attention, shortness of temper, sheep disorders and depression.
I believe you will understand it by now and make the proper use of your valuable time in study.
No more today convey my 'Salam' to mother and father and love to the younger.
Your loving
Md. Tarek
