$G i v e n, x^{2} - y x = 7 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (i) \Rightarrow x y = x^{2} - 7 \Rightarrow y = \frac{x^{2} - 7}{x} \Rightarrow y = x - \frac{7}{x} . . . . . . . . . (i i)$

Another equation is $y^{2} + x y = 30 . . . . . . . . . . (i i i)$

Adding equation (i) and (iii) we get

$\frac{x^{2} - x y = 7 y^{2} + x y = 30}{x^{2} + y^{2} = 37 . . . . . (i v)}$

Now, putting the value of y in equation (iv) we get
