সংবিধান সংশোধনের মাধ্যমে সংসদে মহিলা আসন সংখ্যা নিশ্চিত এবং বিভিন্ন পরিবর্তন করা হয়। এমন সম্পর্কিত তিনটি সংশোধন রয়েছে।

১. সংবিধান সংশোধন ১০ - মহিলা আসন সংখ্যা সৃষ্টি করা হয় এবং মেয়াদকাল ১০ বছর।

২. সংবিধান সংশোধন ১৪ - নারী আসন সংখ্যা ৩০ থেকে ৪৫ উন্নীত করা হয়।

৩. সংবিধান সংশোধন ১৭ - নারী আসন সংখ্যা ৪৫ থেকে ৫০ উন্নীত করা হয়।
