Ambition means a strong desire to achieve something. It is a desire for success or distinction. It is a force in a man's life because it drives a man to be active, successful, famous, rich etc. Ambition may be good or bad. The ambition to achieve something great and noble is valuable and world's nothing can be done without ambition. Ambition is the pivot round which human life moves. A man without ambition hardly reaches his destination. He is like a ship without a rudder. So ambition is, no doubt, very important in human life. Every man should have ambition of his own. It will give him purpose and lead him to achieve the end of life. The man who has no ambition has nothing to work for. He wastes his latent powers and he achieves nothing either for himself or for others. But we should have lofty and noble aims in our ambition. We see that soaring or high ambition is a vice. It leads to destruction. Our ambition should not exceed our limit. A good ambition is not to be condemned but it should be encouraged. Our aims should be always high. It is only noble ambition that can 10 bring us peace and prosperity.
